Home Katy Wiss, began meditating in 1976, took intensive professional training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in 2008, and graduated in 2012 from the Community Dharma Leaders Program of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She has completed advanced study and practice classes in Buddhism at Spirit Rock, New York Insight Meditation Center, and Chuang Yen Monastery. She regularly teaches insight meditation at Western Connecticut State University.  She has taught Vipassana and mettā  meditation at a variety of NYC, Westchester County and Fairfield County locations.

Nina Nagy has been primarily trained by Gina Sharpe and Mathew Flickstein. She is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leadership program from Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She is also trained as a Somatic Experiencing and Trauma therapist. She is a teacher at New York Insight Meditation Center and also teaches in various other places in the CT and NY area.

 

Richard Smith began meditating in 2001 and has completed advanced study and practice classes in Buddhism at New York Insight Meditation Center, Insight Meditation Society and Chuang Yen Monastery. He graduated in 2012 from the two-year Community Dharma Leader Program of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Richard has been regularly teaching insight (Vipassana) meditation in Westchester County since 2010.

 

 

 

Tracy Cochran has been a student of meditation and spiritual practice for four decades, with a deep interest in how the how the challenges and obstacles in life can become a way to wisdom.  Tracy teaches at New York Insight Meditation Center, the Rubin Museum of Art, Yogashivaya in Tarrytown, and in corporations, schools, and libraries throughout the New York area. She is an author, and also the editor of Parabola Magazine.

 

 

 

Gina Sharpe, Guiding Teacher, is co-founder of the New York Insight Meditation Center where she is a Guiding Teacher and member of the Board of Directors. Trained as a retreat teacher in a joint Teacher Training Program of Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Insight Meditation Society, she teaches at various venues around the United States including Spirit Rock, Insight Meditation Society.
